At the appointment, you will tell us about your problem, and our solicitor will tell you if we can help – and, if so, what kind of funding is best for you and your case. Funding a legal case is complicated, and we shall explain the best options for you when we meet you. You can then decide whether to go ahead or not. This initial interview is free on request.

We aim to find a funding system which best suits your case. You may already have some insurance which would cover your legal expenses. If you have a housing case, we shall try to help you under the Legal Help Scheme or under a Certificate of Public Funding (which used to be known as a Legal Aid Certificate). If you have a personal injury case, we shall try to help you under a “No Win, No Fee” Agreement (also known as a “Conditional Fee Agreement”).

We shall never charge you unless we first explain why we need to make a charge AND you agree to this before we go ahead with the work. If we believe another solicitor can help you without making a charge which we would need to make, we shall refer you to another solicitor.
